This week’s Battle for Best Mobile Experience takes us to Europe for a comparison of 10 of its largest cities.
As in previous comparisons, we’re going to be examining the following:
In which cities would you most likely find a strong signal?
In which cities would you most likely drop a call or have difficulty sending/receiving texts?
In which cities would you most likely receive no signal?

Utilizing our Crowd SiteIntel platform, where we visualize and analyze trillions of crowdsourced data points, we examined a total of over 466 million network performance readings by analyzing a 5-mile radius from each city’s center. Here’s what we found:

So how did these European cities perform?
Though all of the cities analyzed had solid coverage by their top network providers with 86% or more of customers experiencing excellent to fair service, there were some top performers and some low performers. Here’s what we can conclude from this comparison:
St. Petersburg and Moscow offer the best mobile experience with over 97% of customers experiencing excellent to fair signal strength coverage.
Data suggests Rome and London have the largest need for improvement by their network providers, with customers experiencing poor or no signal readings 10% of the time.
