A Look Inside America's Digital Divide: Niles, Michigan & South Bend, Indiana



When we looked into the mobile experience of each city to find indicators of a digital divide, we saw that Niles, Michigan had an average of 90% poor or no signal readings while South Bend, Indiana had an average of just 28%.




The distance between these two cities is only 10 miles (16 kilometers) but in Niles, Michigan there are 3X more poor signals (as a percentage of total signals) than there are in South Bend, Indiana.
